Movement in The Garden Series: Guided Shamanic Movement

Free Guided Shamanic Movement Provided by The Greening of Detroit!

Join us at Lafayette Green Gardens for our summer movement series! Bring your yoga mat and enjoy an hour long practice in the beautiful garden. Instruction provided by Jessica Zacharias.

The class is free and open to the public, and we will be accepting donations to cover the instructor and support The Greening of Detroit's mission.

A shamanic movement meditation is a guided, intuitive experience that invites you to move beyond choreography and into deep listening. Rather than focusing on how the body looks, it centers on how the body feels—using breath, rhythm, and sensation as the compass. You’re gently led to release stored tension, emotion, and energy through organic movement, allowing the body to express what words often cannot.
