In this Natural Dye workshop, Kayla will lead participants through all of the steps of dyeing natural fibers with plants. We will tour the beautiful Lafayette Greens garden and Kayla will introduce different flowers and plants that can be used to dye fiber. With flowers that we find in the garden, we will create several dye baths. Kayla will share surface design techniques including bundle dyeing, resist dyeing and immersion dyeing. Everyone will create their own naturally dyed silk scarf that reflects the colors of the season!
Class is $25 which includes all the materials and you will take home your dyed silk scarf
