Learn how to photograph flowers and other species in a garden!

Learn how to shoot, enhance, and share photographs with cell phone photography. In the class we will discuss shooting techniques, photo-enhancement tips, and apps to showcase your photography experiences. While learning to use your phone's camera, students will test their skills at Lafayette Greens, shooting different flowers, plants, insects and landscapes.

Your teacher - Asia Hamilton

Native Detroit Asia Hamilton is an accomplished photographer who has shot everyone from Lil Wayne to the girl next door. She is the owner and creator of Nozomi Live design, the company behind the face and brand of local businesses such as Detroit Snob, LIV Resto lounge and Kidscapes Foundation. Asia also designed and photographed three Employee Excellence plaques for Ford Motor Company. The design would eventually grace the offices of honorable employees across the nation. She recently traveled abroad to Amman Jordan for the Arab American National Museum to teach photography and bring awareness to the issue of waste and consumption for the Watch Your Waste program.

Asia currently freelances and teaches photography classes for adults at her studio.  One of her goals is to give Detroit youth a newfound appreciation and perspective of their community through photography and the fine arts.
